Happy Fishing
I love to go fishing. My goal is to not only catch some fish but also to catch some rays and get some color while I am waiting for the fish to bite!
The picture above is from a family vacation several years ago in Florida. I was blessed to catch this guy. It is the largest fish I have ever caught or tried to hold!
Growing up, my grandparents had a pond that they would keep stocked. We had many family picnics and fishing adventures near the pond, way out in the pasture.
There is nothing like sitting in God’s created nature and just being. No phone, no screen, just quiet downtime to sit and listen to the birds and all the other creatures singing in harmony.
Smelling the fresh air, feeling the warm sun on your skin, and enjoying looking at the white clouds in the blue sky while imagining what animals they look like.
This is also a great time to visit with the folks around you. Ask them how they are doing, maybe what they want to accomplish with their life, and have a heart-to-heart with your fishing buddy.
It’s an even better time to have a long conversation with God. I think He would enjoy that.
Fishing is a great opportunity to do some deep thinking.
Happy Fishing!
Debbie
