Food is Medicine
Hello!
This week, my farmer husband and I participated in a conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. My 81-year-old mom flew along with us and spent the week with her sister, who lives there.
I was hoping for some pool time with warm weather, but we only got to enjoy one day of sunshine, and then it rained the other days.
The conference focused on regenerative farming and soil health. We farm regeneratively, which means constantly working with nature to protect and increase soil health. Everything in nature works together perfectly. Nature doesn’t need people, but people need nature.
I was reminded that food is medicine. If we eat processed foods instead of whole foods that nature grows, our bodies have a hard time digesting them, receiving nothing good from them, and the excess sugars cause many health issues.
In Genesis, God tells us His plan for creation and how He created food for us to eat. He created you and me as well, so He knows what is good for us. That plan has not changed.
If your food doesn’t come from the ground or have a momma, don’t eat it.
Have a great week!
Debbie
